Global law firm Goodwin announced that Ian Keefe and George Weavil will join the firm’s Private Equity practice as partners for the London office. And his clients include corporations, institutional investors, alternative asset managers, founders, senior management teams, and portfolio companies.

Keefe also advises on a full range of transactions, including leveraged buyouts (LBOs), consortium deals, bolt-on acquisitions, carve-outs, co-investments, minority deals, recapitalizations, divestments, distressed M&A, public-to-privates, joint ventures, reorganizations and restructurings, and general corporate matters.

Weavil advises private equity investors and other financial sponsors on a full range of transactions, including buyouts, disposals, bolt-on acquisitions, co-investments, incentivization schemes, reorganizations, restructurings, and general corporate matters. And he has extensive experience advising businesses and investors in making a positive impact on society and the environment and in identifying and assessing ESG-related risks and opportunities in the course of a transaction.

Keefe and Weavil are the latest additions to Goodwin’s 80-lawyer UK private equity practice, covering M&A, private investment funds, and debt finance. Over the past 18 months, the London team brought in partners Jacqueline Eaves, Arvin Abraham, and John Anderson.
