Google and Kaggle attracted more than 353,000 registered participants to their five-day AI Agents: Intensive Vibe Coding Course, highlighting the rapidly growing developer interest in using natural language to build AI applications and agents.
The program focused on the full process of designing, securing, and deploying production-grade AI agents in cloud environments, while teaching participants how to move projects from early prototypes to functional applications.
Google and Kaggle have now attracted more than 2 million learners and developers across the no-cost intensive courses they have offered since launching the program in 2024.
The latest course centered on “vibe coding,” an emerging approach in which developers increasingly use natural-language instructions to generate, modify, and deploy software rather than manually writing every part of the code.
More than 392,000 active participants interacted through Kaggle’s Discord community during the program, where developers exchanged code, solved technical problems, and formed study groups.
The course culminated in more than 6,000 capstone project submissions from over 12,000 active participants.
Projects ranged from Palimpsest, a system designed to transcribe historical manuscripts, to Project ARIES, which applies AI to space-weather research.
Google and Kaggle positioned the program around the idea that AI development is moving faster than traditional education models, creating demand for shorter, intensive learning programs that combine technical materials with practical experimentation and large online communities.
The course materials remain available on Kaggle Learn for developers who couldn’t participate in the live program.
