Google has launched Gemini 3.7 Flash, positioning it as its most capable Flash-series model yet for coding, AI agents, knowledge work, and web development.
The release comes only three weeks after Gemini 3.6 Flash and incorporates developer feedback alongside new algorithmic improvements. Google said Gemini 3.7 Flash provides substantial gains across software engineering, document-heavy knowledge work, and web development while launching at an introductory price equal to half the original Gemini 3.6 Flash cost per million tokens.
Coding is one of the largest areas of improvement. On FrontierCode 1.1 Main, Gemini 3.7 Flash scored 43.6%, compared with 34.4% for Gemini 3.6 Flash. On DeepSWE v1.1, the new model scored 65.3%, up from 49.0%. Google said the model is better at debugging, issue resolution, first-pass code accuracy, and generating production-ready software.
Web development performance has also improved. Gemini 3.7 Flash reached an Elo score of 1,588 on Arena.ai’s WebDev Arena compared with 1,538 for Gemini 3.6 Flash. Google said the model can generate more functional layouts and feature-complete applications in fewer prompts while maintaining stronger adherence to visual references such as screenshots, images, and design systems.
The company is also targeting knowledge-intensive enterprise workloads. On the GDP.pdf benchmark for understanding complex documents, Gemini 3.7 Flash scored 34%, compared with 22% for its predecessor. It also reached 30.4% on AutomationBench, up from 17%, indicating improved performance on real-world business workflow automation.
Google said Gemini 3.7 Flash is more disciplined in completing multi-step tasks, including planning and tool calls, and adapts more effectively when it encounters obstacles. Those improvements are intended to reduce retries and manual oversight when developers use the model within longer-running agentic workflows.
Pricing is another major part of Google’s positioning. Gemini 3.7 Flash is available through December 31, 2026, at an introductory rate of $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens. Beginning January 1, 2027, pricing is scheduled to increase to $1.50 per million input tokens and $7.50 per million output tokens.
Gemini 3.7 Flash is also becoming the underlying model for Gemini Spark, Google’s personal AI agent available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in more than 160 countries. Google said the upgrade improves Spark’s ability to work across Google Workspace tools and perform tasks such as consolidating files, drafting emails, and updating status documents.
Developers can access Gemini 3.7 Flash through the Gemini API, Google AI Studio, Android Studio, and Google Antigravity. Enterprise customers can use it through the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform and Gemini Enterprise, while individuals can access the model through Spark.
Google is also shipping updated safeguards addressing cyber offense and chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear misuse as the company expands Gemini’s capabilities for increasingly autonomous AI systems.
