Google CEO Sundar Pichai reportedly conducted an all-hands meeting on Thursday where he revealed that a majority of employees will be working from home until the end of the year, according to a report by TheInformation.com. Previously, Google was expecting employees to be working remotely until June 1.

However, employees whose work requires them to be physically present in the office will be allowed in June or July. There will be increased safety precautions implemented and it will be a different in-office experience.

Google started the work from home initiative in early March, which was in compliance with government orders.

Facebook made a similar announcement earlier this week. And Amazon and Slack told their employees that its employees will be working from home until the fall as well.
