Google.org announced new funding to support three long-term partners focused on education and artificial intelligence.
The funding was announced at the 2026 ISTE conference and is intended to help educators and school leaders navigate AI while keeping the teacher-student relationship central to learning.
The three partners receiving support are aiEDU, ISTE, and Renaissance Philanthropy.
Through the new support, aiEDU will work with leaders of high-need K-12 districts to co-develop comprehensive AI readiness strategies. The organization will also build open-source blueprints that other school districts can follow.
Google said aiEDU’s expanded effort builds on a model that has already reached more than 48,000 educators and impacted nearly two million students nationwide.
ISTE will receive funding for a field study, summit, and insights report focused on AI-informed assessments. The work is designed to help save educator time and support personalized student growth.
Google.org is also supporting Renaissance Philanthropy’s Reimagining Assessment initiative, which includes an open call planned for September and a request for information currently open for input.
Google.org said the initiative reflects its commitment to helping teachers build AI literacy and access insights as the technology becomes more central to education.
The funding is part of Google.org’s broader work to support educators, students, and learning organizations as AI changes how classrooms operate and how students are assessed.
