Google Pixel 3 XL: New Leak Shows What To Expect

Google is likely going to reveal the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL in the next few months, but leaks about the devices are starting to trickle out. A group of leaked images from a Russian tech blogger via Android Police appears to show some of the production hardware in the Pixel 3 XL and a set of wired USB-C Pixel Buds.

The leaked images also reaffirm previous leaks that show that the Pixel 3 devices will likely have notches housing the front-facing camera just like we have seen with the Apple iPhone X.

In the images above, you will notice that the leaked images highlight the front and rear of the device.

It appeared that Google was planning on including Pixel earbuds last year with the Pixel 2, but that plan was later scrapped. This was evidenced by a packaging design with a slot for shipping with headphones. And headphones were also mentioned in the manual of the Pixel 2 as well. Google ended up simply providing a USB-C to 3.5mm dongle in the box of the Pixel 2.

The hardware expected to be shipped in the Pixel 3 XL includes an 8-core Qualcomm processor (possibly the Snapdragon 845) and an Adreno 630 GPU. The resolution appears to be 1440 x 2960 (494 ppi). The Pixel 3 XL may also have 4GB of RAM, which would make the speed of the device feel lightning fast. And the Pixel 3 XL is likely going to ship with Android 9.

The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL is expected to arrive sometime in early October based on Google’s previous release schedule.
