Iron Bow Technologies has completed the sale of its Telehealth division, SoldierPoint Digital Health, to GovCIO. The deal marks a strategic milestone for both companies and underscores the growing importance of scalable, secure, and mission-driven healthcare solutions for veterans.

Iron Bow, a portfolio company of H.I.G. Capital, has spent the past several years transforming SoldierPoint from a hardware-centric telehealth initiative into a sophisticated, services-led platform.

Launched initially to support the Department of Veterans Affairs with remote care infrastructure, SoldierPoint has matured into a robust digital health provider, offering advanced application development and connected care technologies tailored to the unique needs of the VA and its patient population.

Under H.I.G.’s ownership, the division saw its earnings more than double, a testament to the firm’s operational guidance and Iron Bow’s strategic execution.

GovCIO, backed by Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, is a well-established provider of technology solutions to the federal government, with deep roots in IT modernization and digital transformation. The acquisition of SoldierPoint is a natural extension of GovCIO’s long-standing partnership with the VA, particularly within the Veterans Benefits Administration and the Office of Information and Technology.

With this deal, GovCIO expands its footprint within the Veterans Health Administration, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing healthcare access and outcomes for millions of veterans nationwide.

SoldierPoint brings with it a team of nearly 300 employees and a marquee contract—the seven-year, $2 billion Connected Care Integrated Network (CCIN) agreement with the VA. This single-award IDIQ contract, managed under the VA’s Digital Health Office, supports telehealth and connected care services for over four million veterans.

GovCIO will now oversee the execution of this program, leveraging its experience in low-code/no-code platforms, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

For H.I.G. Capital, the sale represents another successful chapter in its portfolio management strategy. With $70 billion in capital under management, the firm continues to back companies that drive innovation and deliver measurable impact across industries. The transformation of SoldierPoint from a hardware-based telehealth program into a dynamic, service-oriented digital health platform is a clear example of that philosophy in action.

As SoldierPoint transitions into its new home at GovCIO, the focus remains on delivering high-quality, accessible care to veterans through cutting-edge technology. The acquisition not only strengthens GovCIO’s position in federal healthcare IT but also signals a broader shift toward integrated, data-driven solutions that can meet the complex demands of public sector healthcare. For veterans, this means more connected care, better outcomes, and a renewed commitment to their well-being in the digital age.
