Grain Management announced it has completed the sale of Hunter Communications to Oak Hill Capital, closing a transaction that was originally announced in December 2025. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Hunter Communications, headquartered in Medford, Oregon, operates a 3,000-plus route-mile fiber network delivering multi-gig symmetrical speeds, low latency, and high availability to residential, commercial, and enterprise customers across Oregon, Washington, and Northern California. The company is recognized as one of the largest privately owned fiber-optic internet providers in the region.

During Grain Management’s ownership, Hunter executed a series of strategic initiatives aimed at scaling and strengthening its platform. These included expanding its fiber network footprint, upgrading core and access infrastructure, improving network redundancy, and implementing scalable operating systems. The investments contributed to enhanced service reliability, improved customer experience, and increased operational efficiency.

The transaction reflects Grain’s broader strategy of investing in digital infrastructure platforms, supporting growth through operational improvements, and exiting once value has been realized.
