Gravity: $10 Million Raised To Build Orion, An Autonomous AI Analyst Platform

By Amit Chowdhry ● Apr 21, 2026

Gravity announced more than $10 million in total funding to advance Orion, its autonomous AI analyst platform designed to deliver continuous, decision-ready insights for enterprises. The latest $7 million institutional round was led by Next Frontier Capital, with participation from Foundry Group, K5 Global, and Denver Ventures, alongside a group of strategic angel investors.

Founded by former Google and Looker executives, Gravity is focused on redefining business intelligence by replacing reactive dashboards with proactive, AI-driven analysis. Its Orion platform continuously monitors company data, identifies anomalies, explains performance changes, and delivers actionable insights without requiring user queries.

Unlike traditional BI tools, Orion operates as an always-on analyst, automatically investigating trends and surfacing insights before teams know to ask. The system integrates with existing data infrastructure, including BigQuery, Snowflake, Power BI, Databricks, and dbt, while delivering outputs directly into workflows via Slack and email.

The platform has already been deployed across more than 30 enterprise environments, where it performs hundreds of automated analytical workflows each week and reduces recurring analytics workloads by up to 85 percent. Customers report faster delivery of executive insights, improved operational visibility, and the ability to scale analytics without expanding headcount.

Gravity is seeing early adoption across several key use cases, including embedded analytics within customer products, proactive account management insights, executive performance briefings, and continuous monitoring of business operations.

The company’s approach builds on lessons from modern data platforms, integrating with existing semantic layers such as LookML and dbt rather than requiring organizations to rebuild their data stacks. As a certified Google Cloud partner, Gravity is also positioned within the Gemini Enterprise ecosystem as a leading AI analytics solution.

The new funding will support continued product development and expansion as the company aims to redefine enterprise analytics through autonomous, AI-driven decision support.

KEY QUOTES

“Business intelligence has never actually been intelligent. It’s been a very expensive way to answer questions you already knew to ask. Orion flips that model. It’s not a tool you query; it’s an analyst that shows up every morning already knowing what to investigate.”
Lucas Thelosen, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Gravity

“What stood out in our diligence was how consistently customers told us Orion was the first AI analytics product that actually worked out of the box. Teams weren’t asking better questions – they were getting answers they didn’t even know to ask. That’s the difference between AI as a novelty and AI as labor.”
Kirsten Suddath, General Partner, Next Frontier Capital

“Gravity isn’t building a new kind of dashboard. They’re building a contextual, proactive, always-on AI analyst that goes beyond answering questions. Orion surfaces the right insights at the right time and identifies the questions business leaders should be asking. This team has the depth of experience and founder-market fit to build solutions that deliver real business impact.”
Jaclyn Hester, Partner, Foundry Group
