GrayMatter announced it has acquired FTE Factory Advisors, a Lean transformation consultancy, as part of a strategy to expand its end-to-end factory transformation capabilities. The deal, supported by investment partner Tailwind Capital, brings together GrayMatter’s industrial automation and digital transformation expertise with Factory Advisors’ Lean methodology.
The combined organization aims to provide manufacturers with a unified partner that integrates strategy, operational excellence, and AI-driven industrial intelligence. The acquisition is designed to help companies modernize operations, improve performance, and connect high-level strategy with execution on the plant floor.
By combining Lean practices with digital tools and AI-enabled insights, the companies intend to deliver solutions that improve throughput, quality, and productivity across manufacturing environments. The offering includes automation solutions, AI-enhanced consulting tied to real-time plant performance, and scalable frameworks for enterprise-wide transformation.
GrayMatter said the integration will allow it to support transformation initiatives from leadership planning through frontline execution, while helping manufacturers sustain improvements over time. Factory Advisors will operate as part of the combined entity, contributing its expertise in continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
