Greenbelt Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on investing in the New Energy Economy, announced the addition of several senior executives to its growing leadership team. The appointments include Katie Kiersey as Chief of Strategy and Operating Partner, Erika Mapes as Managing Director, Austin Major as Principal, and Elouise Roche as Vice President.
The new hires come as Greenbelt continues to expand its investment footprint in companies reshaping how the world produces, distributes, and consumes energy. In June 2025, the firm closed Greenbelt Capital Partners III L.P. with $1 billion in capital commitments, positioning it to accelerate investments in middle-market companies driving decarbonization and energy transition.
Kiersey will lead Greenbelt’s newly launched Value Optimization team, which is designed to strengthen operational performance and strategic growth across portfolio companies. Based in Texas, she brings over a decade of experience from Bain & Company, where she was a Partner specializing in private equity, energy, and industrials. At Bain, she led more than 100 commercial diligence projects and over a dozen post-acquisition transformation initiatives. She holds a B.B.A. in Finance with a specialization in Alternative Assets from Southern Methodist University.
Mapes, based in New York, rejoins Greenbelt after previously serving as a Senior Associate from 2014 to 2018. She most recently worked as a Principal at Onex Partners and Vice President at Oaktree Capital Management. Earlier in her career, she was an analyst in the Natural Resources group at Barclays. Mapes holds a B.S. in Finance from Lehigh University.
Major joins the firm in Texas after serving as a Principal at Blackstone, with earlier experience at Vista Equity Partners and Morgan Stanley. He earned his M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College.
Roche, based in New York, brings significant expertise in sustainable and energy transition investments. She previously served as Vice President at Goldman Sachs Private Equity and held roles at Mission Driven Capital Partners and Morgan Stanley. Roche has a B.S. in Economics from Duke University.
