Greenberg Traurig Adds Andrew Jacobs To Expand Leveraged Finance Practice

Greenberg Traurig has added Andrew B. Jacobs as a shareholder in the firm’s Westchester County and New York offices, expanding its leveraged finance capabilities as demand grows across private credit, syndicated lending, acquisition financing, restructuring, and distressed debt markets.

Jacobs brings more than 15 years of experience advising major investment and commercial banks, private credit providers, hedge funds, and other institutional lenders. His work spans the credit cycle, including syndicated lending, leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, restructurings, and distressed situations.

The firm said Jacobs will work with lawyers across its U.S. and international network, giving clients access to financing capabilities that can span multiple offices and practice groups. Greenberg Traurig is emphasizing cross-office collaboration as a differentiator in a market where complex transactions often require coordinated advice across lending, restructuring, corporate, tax, and regulatory issues.

Jacobs is based in both Westchester County and New York. In addition to his client work, he serves on the Loan Syndications and Trading Association Primary Markets Committee and has long supported Part of the Solution, a Bronx-based nonprofit that provides food, services, and resources to underserved communities.

Greenberg Traurig has approximately 3,200 lawyers across 51 locations in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia. The firm’s Finance Practice advises lenders, borrowers, investors, and other market participants, and Jacobs’ addition is intended to deepen its capabilities in leveraged finance and private credit.

His arrival also gives the Westchester office additional financing depth while connecting that practice more directly with Greenberg Traurig’s broader New York and international platform. The firm expects Jacobs to work across offices on transactions involving lenders, sponsors, borrowers, and investors.
