Greenberg Traurig has added Shan A. Khan as a shareholder in its Finance Practice in Dallas, continuing the law firm’s expansion of its Texas transactional platform. Khan joins Greenberg Traurig from Kirkland & Ellis.
He represents private equity sponsors, private credit funds, financial institutions and public and private companies in complex financing transactions.
His practice focuses on leveraged finance, acquisition financing, private credit and special situations.
Khan has worked across industries including energy, infrastructure, technology, manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality and life sciences.
Over the past decade, he has advised on transactions and financings with an aggregate value exceeding $75 billion.
Those matters have ranged from middle-market financings to multibillion-dollar corporate transactions.
His experience spans traditional lending and private credit as well as restructuring-related financing and other capital solutions for companies pursuing acquisitions, growth initiatives or changes to their capital structures.
Khan’s addition expands Greenberg Traurig’s capabilities as private credit continues to play a larger role alongside traditional syndicated and bank financing markets.
