Greenberg Traurig has added Ben Patton as a shareholder and head of its London Construction Practice, expanding the law firm’s real estate, construction and infrastructure capabilities in the U.K.
Patton joins Greenberg Traurig from Ashurst Perkins Coie, where he led the firm’s Construction Practice.
His arrival is intended to strengthen Greenberg Traurig’s ability to advise clients throughout the development process, from the early stages of a project through construction and completion.
Patton will focus on U.K. development and construction matters across a range of sectors.
His practice complements the work of Infrastructure Group shareholder Richard Ceeney, who joined Greenberg Traurig in April 2025 to focus on major infrastructure and energy projects globally.
Patton has advised developers, investors, occupiers, and lenders on construction and development mandates.
Greenberg Traurig sees his addition as part of its continued investment in London and its broader global real estate platform.
He is also ranked as a Leading Partner for Construction: Non-Contentious in The Legal 500’s 2026 U.K. guide.
Patton serves on the Joint Contracts Tribunal drafting subcommittee and is a member of the City Property Association and Society of Construction Law.
The addition follows other recent expansion across Greenberg Traurig’s London Real Estate team.
The firm recently added shareholders Simon Elliott, Patrick Williams and Freya Dear, while real estate finance lawyer William Lo was promoted to shareholder.
The London Real Estate team was named Real Estate Team of the Year at The Lawyer Awards 2026 and was highly commended in the same category at the Legal Business Awards 2026.
Greenberg Traurig has approximately 3,200 lawyers across 51 locations globally.
