GreenLight Fund said its investments reached 1.6 million individuals and families during its 2025-2026 fiscal year as the nonprofit expanded its portfolio and geographic reach.
From July 2025 through June 2026, GreenLight expanded into Dallas, its 15th city, and grew its national portfolio to 71 investments.
GreenLight invests in nonprofit programs with demonstrated results and brings those programs into communities based on locally identified needs.
The organization said its $47.8 million investment in portfolio organizations helped unlock more than $454 million in follow-on funding.
That represents nearly $10 in additional funding for every dollar invested by GreenLight.
Programs supported by GreenLight address areas including essential needs, education, workforce development, financial resilience, and family support.
In Cincinnati, 100% of households participating in HomeStart’s Renew Collaborative retained housing.
Food Connect distributed more than 2.3 million meals across Greater Newark, the Twin Cities, and the Bay Area.
In Baltimore, ParentChild+ completed 1,400 home visits, with GreenLight reporting that 100% of participating families were prepared for their children’s academic success.
Blueprint Schools reached 1,642 students in the Bay Area, with 89% reporting increased confidence in math.
Across six cities, participants in workforce development programs earned wages two to three times higher than local minimum wage levels.
Detroit-based RxKids distributed $10.7 million to support 4,195 families during pregnancy and the first year after birth.
