Grindr is moving toward what management calls an AI-native operating model as strong user engagement and operating leverage allow the company to accelerate its product roadmap, including development of next-generation offerings such as Edge.

Management said the AI transformation is intended to improve both internal efficiency and Grindr’s core user experience while allowing the company to move faster within what it describes as an exceptionally lean operating structure.

The strategy is being implemented across a platform with approximately 15 million average monthly active users in 190 countries and territories, giving Grindr a sizable existing network through which new AI-driven products and features can be deployed.

The company also highlighted its Madonna partnership during Q2 as evidence of Grindr’s broader cultural and commercial reach as it looks to expand beyond its traditional dating and social networking use cases.

Q2 revenue increased 33% year-over-year to approximately $138 million. Net income reached $17.7 million, while adjusted EBITDA increased to $57.6 million from $45.2 million. Adjusted EBITDA margin remained strong at 41.7%.

Grindr raised its full-year 2026 outlook following the quarter. The company now expects approximately $540 million of revenue and approximately $232 million of adjusted EBITDA.

The company’s AI push extends beyond product development. Grindr identifies development and adoption of AI and machine learning technologies, including generative AI, across both daily operations and products and services as an increasingly important part of its technology strategy.
