GRM Information Management has acquired FileVault, a Charlotte, North Carolina-based records management company. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
GRM said the acquisition adds FileVault’s customers to its platform and complements the company’s organic revenue growth across its product and service portfolio.
The privately held company provides physical records management services, document storage, scanning, secure destruction and pathology storage.
GRM also provides release-of-information services to healthcare organizations.
FileVault customers will gain access to GRM’s broader document management offerings and the digital technology provided through its sister company, VisualVault.
VisualVault operates an enterprise content management platform used to build digital data, document and workflow management solutions.
The platform serves industries including healthcare, government, banking, human resources, higher education and entertainment.
GRM’s digital projects can begin by indexing scanned documents and assigning metadata before expanding into document management, workflow automation, data archiving, compliance and analytics.
The company operates offices in 15 major U.S. metropolitan markets and maintains additional facilities in Peru, Brazil and Colombia.
