Guickly Raises $4.2 Million Seed Round Led By Engineering Capital

Guickly launched with $4.2 million in seed funding to help enterprises measure, control and optimize spending on artificial intelligence tools and infrastructure. The funding round was led by Engineering Capital, with participation from Converge VC, Neon Fund and angel investors.

Guickly was founded by Prashant Jalan, a former Applied AI Lead at Google who spent more than eight years working in applied AI. During his time at Google, Jalan helped develop the Google Maps speed limit feature and built a profiler designed to optimize TPU performance.

The company is developing what it describes as an independent AI measurement layer that gives enterprises visibility into where AI is being used, how much organizations are spending, which employees and tools are consuming resources and what return companies are generating from those investments.

Guickly is designed to identify usage across AI applications and agents, including so-called shadow AI that may be operating outside formally approved technology systems.

The platform can also establish spending budgets by employee or AI tool while identifying areas of potential waste, including unused software licenses and unnecessarily expensive models.

Guickly is targeting a growing challenge for enterprises as AI spending increasingly shifts away from traditional fixed-price SaaS models toward consumption-based pricing tied to tokens and computational usage.

This can make AI expenses more difficult for CIOs, finance leaders and other executives to predict and attribute across organizations.

Guickly aims to provide executives with a centralized view of every AI tool, agent and associated expense while helping organizations determine whether those investments are producing measurable business value.

The company also emphasizes privacy and security as part of its architecture.

Guickly said sensitive information such as prompts, source code and other confidential corporate data does not need to be transmitted to its servers. Instead, sensitive data can remain on premises.

That approach is intended to support adoption in regulated and security-sensitive industries, including financial services, automotive IoT and pharmaceuticals.

Jalan founded Guickly after observing that even sophisticated organizations could struggle to understand the cost and utilization of AI systems distributed across their operations.

The company’s thesis is that AI increasingly resembles a metered utility rather than traditional enterprise software. As consumption grows, businesses need tools capable of measuring utilization and controlling expenses in near real time.

Guickly’s platform is designed to integrate into existing enterprise technology environments rather than requiring companies to replace their current systems.

The company is positioning measurement as the foundation for broader AI governance and optimization, allowing organizations to identify adoption patterns, establish spending controls and evaluate ROI before expanding AI programs further.

The funding will support Guickly as it launches its platform and works with enterprises seeking greater visibility into increasingly complex AI spending.

KEY QUOTES:

“Today, organizations are already spending as much on AI as they do on cloud infrastructure, but unlike the cloud, they may have no idea where that money is going. When I was leading an Applied AI team at Google and making products for billions of people, I traced where every cycle and every byte was going. But I realized that even the largest tech companies didn’t always know what AI was doing within their walls. So I resolved to fix that.”

Prashant Jalan, Founder of Guickly

“I’ve been following Prashant’s career trajectory for years and knew he has the education, experience, ambition, and most importantly, the commercial instinct to build an enduring company. Enterprise AI expenses are skyrocketing, and Prashant has built an easy way for enterprises to understand AI usage, financial expenditures, and access across the organization. The first step to enterprises seeing a return on their AI investment is AI accountability and that’s what Guickly provides.”

Ashmeet Sidana, Chief Engineer at Engineering Capital

“At Converge VC, we back both exceptional teams and solutions that address critical white-space opportunities. Guickly brings the best of both: Prashant’s deep technical expertise from more than eight years in applied AI at Google, combined with an integrated enterprise AI layer that brings together visibility, control, and optimization. We believe this comprehensive approach is essential for enterprises looking to deploy and manage AI securely and effectively at scale.”

Anshu Agarwal, General Partner at Converge VC

“We’ve been following AI since the beginning and investing in AI solutions and infrastructure almost as long. We backed Prashant and his team because we believe that Guickly will become essential to any enterprise hoping to use AI effectively. Prashant’s background has enabled him to understand AI usage and how to measure it in a way that few others can. And that knowledge shows in the solution he has built at Guickly. The early design partners and customers concur on the unique value that Guickly brings.”

Siddhartha Ahluwalia, Founder of Neon Fund

“We believe time is sacred, and speed is respect. Leaders shouldn’t have to chase people to find answers. Guickly brings the answers to them without them having to ask.”
