Guide Architecture Acquires MAIA Consulting

Guide Architecture acquired MAIA Consulting, adding specialized medical equipment planning capabilities to its national healthcare design platform. MAIA is a 25-person healthcare consulting firm focused on medical equipment planning and related services.

Guide Architecture is a portfolio company of Grovecourt Capital.

MAIA founder Melody Vandivere will continue leading the business and become Guide’s National Medical Equipment Planning Leader.

In that position, Vandivere will oversee the continued expansion of Guide’s medical equipment planning team and capabilities.

MAIA will continue serving healthcare organizations, architects, contractors, and project teams both alongside Guide and in collaboration with other design firms.

Guide said maintaining MAIA’s existing relationships and ability to work broadly across the healthcare design industry is a central part of its growth strategy.

The transaction expands Guide’s ability to support more of the healthcare capital-project lifecycle, from early planning and architecture through equipment selection, implementation, and delivery.

Guide was founded in 2014 and specializes in hospitals, ambulatory facilities, behavioral health centers, medical offices, and other healthcare settings.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Greenberg Traurig advised Guide, while Wilkinson Barker Knauer advised MAIA.
