Guidewire announced the appointment of Dr. Alexander Vollert to its Board of Directors, effective August 1, 2026. Vollert brings experience leading large-scale digital transformation and AI deployment within the insurance industry.
Vollert served as Chief Operating Officer of AXA SA, where he was a member of the company’s Group Management Committee, and as Chief Executive Officer of AXA Group Operations through December 2025. Prior to that, he served as Chief Executive Officer of AXA Germany beginning in 2016, and earlier held senior leadership roles at Allianz SE, including Chief Executive Officer of its German P&C business.
During his tenure at AXA, he led large-scale digital transformations and industrial-scale AI deployments, helping establish the company as a global AI leader in insurance. Earlier in his career, he spent nine years at McKinsey & Company advising financial services clients on strategy, technology, and large-scale transformation. Since 2026, he has served as senior advisor to AXA’s Group Management Committee.
