H, a Paris, France-based company has raised $220 million in seed funding. This funding round comes just a few months after the company was founded.

One of the biggest drivers for this large seed round has to do with the team behind the company, according to TechCrunch. For example, the company’s co-founder and CEO Charles Kantor was a university researcher at Stanford University. And the four other co-founders worked at DeepMind (an AI company acquired by Google). This includes Karl Tuyls, Laurent Sifre,  Daan Wierstra, and Julien Perolat.

H is developing AI agents, which are automated systems that could perfect tasks usually done by humans.

Some of the company’s investors include Accel, Amazon, Samsung, UiPath, Large Venture, Creandum, Elaia Partners, Eurazeo, FirstMark Capital, Visionaries Club, Eric Schmidt, Xavier Niel, Yuri Milner, Bernard Arnault, and Motier Ventures.

H has a team of 25 AI engineers and scientists who have worked at major corporations, academic labs, and startups. This team has expertise in scaling LLMs and computer vision, generative models, and cloud businesses.

The investors have split the commitments into equity and convertible debt.
