H.I.G. Capital Adds Tim Hsu And Chris Todisco To Lead Credit Fundraising Across $75 Billion Platform

H.I.G. Capital has added Tim Hsu and Chris Todisco as Managing Directors in its Capital Formation Group as the global alternative investment firm expands fundraising capabilities for its credit platform.

Hsu will be based in San Francisco and lead capital raising for H.I.G.’s global credit strategies with a focus on institutional investors across the West Coast.

Todisco will be based in New York and lead corresponding credit fundraising activities with institutional investors on the East Coast.

The appointments give H.I.G. senior fundraising coverage on both sides of the U.S. as private credit continues attracting allocations from pension plans, insurers and other institutional investors.

Hsu brings more than 17 years of institutional investment management and private markets experience.

He joins H.I.G. from Oaktree Capital Management, where he led capital formation efforts with institutional investors across the western U.S.

Before Oaktree, Hsu worked in BlackRock’s Institutional Business Development organization.

Todisco joins from Schroders Capital.

There, he led fundraising across credit strategies including direct lending, asset-based lending, structured credit and broadly syndicated loans.

Before Schroders, Todisco spent seven years at First Eagle Investments, where he raised capital for the firm’s alternative credit platform following its acquisition of THL Credit.

H.I.G. manages approximately $75 billion of capital and operates a global alternative investment platform spanning credit and other private market strategies.

The hires are part of the firm’s continued investment in its Capital Formation team and are designed to deepen institutional relationships while supporting additional growth in H.I.G.’s credit business.

The complementary geographic responsibilities also give H.I.G. dedicated senior coverage for institutional investors across major U.S. capital pools.
