H.I.G. Capital Appoints Carlos Couret Managing Director And Head Of Lower Middle Market Private Equity In Spain

H.I.G. Capital announced that Carlos Couret will join the firm as Managing Director and Head of its Spanish Lower Middle Market private equity team.

Couret brings 17 years of mid-market private equity experience to H.I.G., with a background spanning deal origination, execution, and exits across multiple industries.

Before joining H.I.G., Couret was a senior investment professional at ProA Capital. He previously held roles at BNP Paribas in New York and Madrid.

The appointment is intended to further strengthen H.I.G.’s private equity franchise in Spain and Portugal. The firm said Couret’s arrival also reflects its continued commitment to Southern Europe.

H.I.G. Capital is a global alternative investment firm with $75 billion of capital under management. The firm is headquartered in Miami and has offices across the United States, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia.
