Hadrian: $260 Million Raised For Building AI-Based Factories For America

By Amit Chowdhry • Jul 19, 2025

Hadrian, an advanced manufacturing company specializing in AI-powered factories for the American defense sector, has announced the acquisition of $260 million in capital. This investment will facilitate significant expansions in California and Arizona, adding nearly five football fields of manufacturing space. The funds will enhance research and development (R&D) capabilities and create specialized teams for shipbuilding and naval defense.

The $260 million includes a Series C financing round led by Founders Fund and Lux Capital, as well as a factory expansion loan from Morgan Stanley. This funding will enable Hadrian to deliver both precision parts and complete, mission-critical systems, managing the entire manufacturing process from raw materials to finished products.

Key developments include:

  • Factory 3 (F3) in Mesa, Arizona: A new 270,000-square-foot facility that represents a $200 million investment and creates 350 local jobs.

  • New Corporate Headquarters: Hadrian is searching for a 400,000-square-foot space to support the rapid hiring of thousands of employees.

  • Hadrian Maritime: A dedicated division focused on shipbuilding and naval defense, with plans for additional divisions in Munitions, Missile Systems, and Uncrewed Aerial Systems.

  • Factories-as-a-Service: A model that allows defense contractors to quickly scale production to meet demands for parts and products.

Both the Arizona facility and the new headquarters are expected to be operational by January 2026. Hadrian’s factories utilize Opus, its proprietary software, which enables them to become operational in under six months, fostering resilient supply chains and creating advanced job opportunities.

Since its Series B raise a year ago, Hadrian has achieved 10x growth and plans to launch four to five additional facilities over the next year, further supporting high-demand defense sectors and DOD initiatives.
