Halma plc has acquired Dreampath Diagnostics, a Strasbourg-based provider of automated workflow solutions for anatomical pathology laboratories. The deal strengthens Halma’s healthcare capabilities in tissue sample traceability, archiving, and lifecycle management, supporting safer and more efficient diagnostics in a critical part of the patient journey.

Dreampath designs and supplies systems that help labs accurately track, store, and retrieve patient tissue samples throughout the diagnostic process. By replacing largely manual workflows, its technology improves traceability, reduces the risk of sample misidentification, enhances patient safety, and increases operational efficiency in a highly regulated environment.

The acquisition adds complementary capabilities to Halma’s Healthcare Sector, particularly within its Healthcare Enablement portfolio. Dreampath operates in a growing segment of the diagnostic pathway, supported by long-term drivers such as rising diagnostic volumes, increasing regulatory requirements around sample traceability, and stricter rules on long-term sample storage.

Dreampath will continue to operate as a standalone company within Halma’s Healthcare Sector, retaining its distinct culture and focus while benefiting from Halma’s support and global reach. The move reflects Halma’s broader strategy of investing in life‑saving technologies that improve safety and care quality across healthcare systems.

We are pleased to welcome Dreampath to Halma.”
