Hang Ten Systems, an enterprise AI services company founded by former SAP CEO Vishal Sikka, has raised an additional $53 million in seed funding led by Xora, a Temasek-backed investment fund, bringing the company’s total funding to $85 million.
Mayfield, which led Hang Ten’s first seed round, and Aramco Ventures also participated in the new financing. Other investors in the company include Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, Micron Technology Chairman and CEO Sanjay Mehrotra, and Yahoo co-founder and AME Cloud Ventures founding partner Jerry Yang. Yang has also joined Hang Ten Systems’ board of directors.
The financing follows unusually quickly after the company’s initial $32 million seed round. Hang Ten said the two rounds closed only five weeks apart, during which the company signed several multi-million-dollar advisory and software development contracts with global enterprises.
Some projects are already in delivery, while others have been completed. The engagements span multiple industries and range from short-term advisory work to multi-year development programs.
Hang Ten is building an AI-native alternative to traditional enterprise technology consulting and systems integration.
The company provides advisory, transformation and applied AI services to large organizations through a delivery model combining agentic code generation, a reusable library of AI skills and industry-specific expertise.
Its work spans software development, finance and financial analytics, enterprise migrations, human resources and other business functions.
Hang Ten’s thesis is that generative and agentic AI can substantially change the economics of enterprise software development and transformation. Rather than relying primarily on large consulting teams performing significant amounts of work manually, the company uses AI throughout the delivery process to build, modify and operate enterprise software with smaller teams and shorter implementation timelines.
The additional capital will be used to increase delivery capacity for existing customer projects, expand Hang Ten’s engineering and consulting organization and continue developing its technology platform, infrastructure and agentic skills library.
Xora sees enterprise AI implementation as one of the major bottlenecks preventing companies from converting advances in AI models into measurable financial benefits.
The firm’s investment reflects a view that large organizations increasingly need partners capable of deploying AI securely and reliably inside core business processes rather than simply experimenting with standalone applications.
Hang Ten’s early customers include some of the world’s largest industrial organizations.
The company is working with Aramco on AI applications supporting several areas of the energy company’s operations. Aramco Ventures said teams across the organization are identifying additional functions where Hang Ten’s approach could potentially be deployed, with new projects already being scoped.
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is also working with Hang Ten.
According to Siemens Gamesa CEO Vinod Philip, the relationship began with a relatively small number of outcomes the company wanted Hang Ten to demonstrate. After the initial work met those objectives, Siemens Gamesa expanded the scope of the engagement.
These early deployments are important to Hang Ten’s business model because enterprise AI services depend not just on producing technically capable AI systems, but also on demonstrating reliability in production environments.
The company is positioning itself between traditional global systems integrators and AI software vendors.
Where software companies typically provide technology that customers or consulting partners must implement, Hang Ten combines AI technology with engineering, consulting and domain expertise to execute the transformation itself.
The model also gives Hang Ten a reusable technology foundation. Its agentic skills library can potentially capture capabilities developed during one project and apply them to similar work elsewhere rather than rebuilding every implementation from the ground up.
That approach could help the company improve productivity as its number of customers and projects grows.
The latest round also strengthens Hang Ten’s international expansion prospects.
CEO Vishal Sikka said Xora’s backing gives the company additional connections to Singapore and Southeast Asia, regions where businesses are also accelerating investments in AI deployment.
Xora invests in AI infrastructure, applied AI and deep technology companies and uses the network of its anchor limited partner, Temasek, to support portfolio companies as they expand.
Mayfield, meanwhile, is an early-stage venture firm investing $3 billion in AI companies and has historically backed companies from their earliest stages through IPOs and acquisitions.
Aramco Ventures brings an additional strategic dimension. The venture capital arm of Aramco manages $7.5 billion in committed capital across several investment programs and can connect portfolio companies with potential deployments inside Aramco and other global markets.
Hang Ten’s rapid second financing suggests investors are placing significant value on companies that can help enterprises move beyond AI experimentation and into production.
For Hang Ten, the next stage will center on scaling its delivery organization without losing the productivity advantages of its AI-native operating model.
The $53 million round gives the company additional resources to build its technology platform, increase engineering and consulting capacity and support a growing pipeline of large enterprise deployments while expanding internationally.
KEY QUOTES:
“Enterprise technology has long been one of the largest cost lines in essential industries — slow to change, and slower still to translate AI into real economic value. The bottleneck is implementation: deploying it securely, economically and at speed. That takes a different kind of services partner. Hang Ten’s team has built and operated these systems from the inside, and its model is delivering value faster with smaller teams, with early results already holding up in production.”
Phil Inagaki, Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Xora
“We spend a great deal of time assessing where AI can realistically be applied in a business of our scale. What makes Hang Ten compelling is the breadth. The more closely we look at their approach, the more functions and use cases we find across our own operations where it would fit.”
Mahdi Aladel, CEO of Aramco Ventures
“We started working with Hang Ten two months ago with a short list of outcomes we needed proven. They delivered — with a quality and speed that genuinely impressed us. That level of execution is why we have widened the scope of our work together.”
Vinod Philip, CEO of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy
“AI can be the most powerful amplifier we have ever built. But in the enterprise, AI’s power must go hand-in-hand with reliability. At Hang Ten, we bring the power of AI to the world’s most important businesses, with systems they can depend on.”
