HappyCo has received a significant investment from Lone View Capital to accelerate development and adoption of its property operations platform for multifamily housing. The financial terms were not disclosed.
HappyCo’s existing management team, led by founder and CEO Jindou Lee, will continue leading the company following the transaction.
Founded in 2011, HappyCo began as a property inspection solution and has expanded into a broader platform spanning maintenance, asset management, and sourcing workflows.
A major part of the company’s recent development has been JoyAI, an artificial intelligence orchestration layer designed to automate and optimize operational tasks for on-site property teams.
HappyCo serves many of the largest multifamily owners and operators, including the majority of the National Multifamily Housing Council’s top 50 managers. Its products have been deployed across more than five million apartment homes.
The company has built its platform using more than a decade of maintenance interactions and data from approximately one billion inspected items.
HappyCo plans to use Lone View’s backing to continue investing in product development, AI capabilities and customer success while expanding the reach of its platform.
Houlihan Lokey served as financial adviser to HappyCo and DLA Piper served as its legal counsel. Ropes & Gray served as legal counsel to Lone View.
