HarbourVest Partners has appointed Tony Ranaldi as Managing Director of Evergreen Portfolio Management, giving the veteran private credit investor responsibility for leading portfolio management across the firm’s Private Credit Evergreen strategy.
Ranaldi will be based in Boston as HarbourVest expands investment products designed to give investors more flexible access to private markets.
He brings nearly three decades of experience across private credit, opportunistic credit and private equity.
In the new role, Ranaldi will oversee portfolio construction and investment strategy across private credit Evergreen solutions, including direct credit and credit secondaries, while also handling investment monitoring, liquidity and risk management.
Ranaldi joins HarbourVest from Sixth Street, where he served as a Senior Advisor sourcing and evaluating private credit opportunities. Earlier, he founded Tucks Point Partners and held senior investment positions at Berkshire Partners and DDJ Capital Management.
His appointment comes as wealth and institutional investors increasingly seek evergreen vehicles that provide ongoing access to private markets without relying exclusively on traditional closed-end fund structures.
HarbourVest manages more than $165 billion and invests across primary funds, secondary transactions, direct co-investments, infrastructure and private credit.
