Harmoni has raised $10 million in Series A funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners and unveiled HAL, a context-aware AI system designed for manufacturing operations.
The funding will support product development, go-to-market expansion and continued advancement of HAL, which delivers AI-powered intelligence directly to workers on manufacturing floors.
Founded in 2023 by David Caputo and Adam Ellis, Harmoni is building a Factory Orchestration platform designed to connect people, machines, systems and processes across manufacturing operations.
At individual workcenters, Harmoni provides operators with a unified command center containing the information and tools needed to complete work while coordinating production activity across otherwise disconnected systems.
The platform combines automation, process control and observability. It uses RFID and machine-level workflows to automate administrative tasks such as labor tracking, ERP transactions, document retrieval, quality reporting and support requests.
Harmoni said its customers have gained more than 200 hours of productive time per operator annually by eliminating administrative and other non-productive work.
HAL builds on the operational data captured by Harmoni, including information from machines, engineering documents, production records and institutional knowledge. Because the platform understands the active job, part, machine and engineering requirements, HAL can provide context-specific information to help manufacturing teams diagnose problems, understand requirements and identify risks.
