Harris Williams has appointed Tucker Laurens as Managing Director in its Financial Sponsor Coverage Group, expanding its relationships with private equity investors and strengthening its M&A and private capital advisory capabilities.
Laurens brings more than 15 years of investment banking experience and joins Harris Williams from Solomon Partners, where he served as a managing director in the Financial Sponsors Group. He helped establish and develop the group during his tenure at the firm.
His responsibilities will span client coverage and collaboration across M&A, capital solutions, and primary fund placement.
The appointment reflects Harris Williams’ continued investment in providing services to private equity sponsors throughout different stages of their investment activities.
These services can include raising capital, evaluating acquisitions, financing transactions, selling portfolio companies, and returning capital to investors.
Harris Williams is seeking to expand its relationships with financial sponsors as private capital markets diversify and investors evaluate an increasingly broad range of financing and transaction structures.
The firm’s Financial Sponsor Coverage Group works with private equity investors across multiple industries, connecting sponsors with sector specialists and transaction execution teams.
Laurens’ experience includes advising financial sponsors and building relationships with private equity firms throughout his investment banking career.
Before joining Solomon Partners, he spent more than a decade at Stephens, including eight years in its Financial Sponsors Group.
During that period, he developed experience working with private equity clients and supporting transactions across different industry sectors.
His appointment adds another senior executive to Harris Williams’ sponsor coverage organization.
Bruce Kelleher, Managing Director and Head of the Financial Sponsor Coverage Group, will continue leading the practice.
The group works alongside the firm’s broader investment banking platform to provide advice tailored to the requirements of private equity investors.
Harris Williams has continued investing in its capabilities across M&A, capital solutions, and primary fund placement.
