Harvest Commercial Capital Merges With Community Development Investor Crossroads Impact

By Amit Chowdhry ● Feb 25, 2026

Harvest Commercial Capital (HCC), a nationwide originator of owner-occupied small business real estate loans, announced that it has merged with Crossroads Impact Corp (CRSS), combining commercial lending capabilities with residential community development expertise to expand access to capital in low- to moderate-income communities.

The transaction brings together HCC’s commercial lending platform with Crossroads’ residential lending operations, including its certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) subsidiary. The combined organization aims to significantly increase its capacity to serve small businesses and communities nationwide, while the two companies will continue operating under their existing brands.

HCC specializes in originating, selling, and servicing small-balance commercial loans secured by multi-purpose real estate. The firm focuses on conventional loans and first-lien loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 504 loan program. Founded in February 2016 and headquartered in Laguna Hills, California, HCC is majority-owned by an affiliate of Medalist Partners, LP, an SEC-registered investment manager with approximately $2.4 billion in net assets under management as of December 31, 2025. Medalist Partners focuses on asset-based private credit and securitized credit strategies.

Crossroads Impact Corp invests in businesses that promote economic vitality and community development. Its certified CDFI subsidiary, which is also a Certified B-Corp., concentrates on supporting Hispanic homeownership through long-term, fixed-rate single-family mortgage products.

The companies said the merger enhances their collective ability to deliver capital to underserved markets and strengthen partnerships with institutions focused on economic development initiatives, including the SBA and the CDFI Fund. In addition, the combined platform intends to expand innovative Community Reinvestment Act lending and investment solutions for bank partners.
