Havas announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Archrival, a U.S.-based youth culture and experiential activation agency, accelerating the expansion of Havas Play in North America and strengthening the company’s capabilities across sports marketing, creator engagement, and brand experiences.
Founded in 1997, Archrival specializes in helping brands connect with younger audiences through sports and lifestyle marketing, collegiate activations, ambassador programs, experiential campaigns, and community-driven initiatives. The agency has worked with major brands including adidas, Red Bull, Netflix, Snapchat, Spotify, Tinder, and Electronic Arts.
The acquisition enhances Havas Play’s ability to help clients engage consumers through culture, fandom, and participation. The combined organization will provide expanded services spanning sports marketing, branded partnerships, creator engagement, gaming, ambassador networks, experiential activations, and community-led brand building.
Havas said the deal represents another milestone in the growth of Havas Play as brands increasingly seek ways to build deeper relationships with audiences through shared passions and cultural experiences.
Archrival’s expertise in grassroots engagement, collegiate activations, and ambassador networks will also complement Havas’ Converged.AI operating system, enabling clients to identify emerging cultural trends, engage communities more effectively, and translate those interactions into measurable business outcomes.
The transaction strengthens Havas’ position in North America, where sports, entertainment, creators, and fandom are playing an increasingly important role in shaping consumer engagement and loyalty.
