Havis announced that it has acquired Pro-gard Products, a manufacturer of law enforcement vehicle protection and transport equipment. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Pro-gard Products has been operating for nearly 60 years and provides prisoner transport systems, partitions, gun racks, storage, specialty equipment, and vehicle protection products. The acquisition brings together two established companies in the public safety vehicle solutions market.
Havis said the deal creates a more integrated platform designed to enhance officer safety, vehicle security, and operational readiness. The combination is intended to help agencies manage the growing complexity of law enforcement vehicles as they become mobile workspaces and technology-enabled command centers.
The acquisition combines Pro-gard’s expertise in vehicle protection, center seat partitions, and transport solutions with Havis’ capabilities in consoles, mounting systems, docking stations, power management, and mobility integration. Havis said the combined organization will deliver a more complete end-to-end vehicle solution from a single trusted partner.
Together, the companies bring more than 135 years of combined experience serving public safety professionals. Havis said the acquisition strengthens its ability to provide fully integrated vehicle solutions from one source.
