Hawk Line Construction, a Midwest-based electric utility infrastructure services provider, has received a growth investment from funds managed by Lime Rock New Energy. The investment marks a significant milestone for the Neosho, Missouri, headquartered company as it accelerates its expansion efforts across grid modernization, reliability services, and emergency storm response.
The new capital will provide Hawk with additional resources to enhance its service capabilities, broaden its geographic footprint, and support its long-term strategy of becoming a preferred construction services partner for utilities nationwide. Co-owners Kayle Scott and Blake Mertens will retain substantial ownership and continue leading the company alongside the existing management team.
Hawk Line Construction delivers distribution maintenance, repair, upgrade, and new construction services to electric utilities throughout the Midwest, as well as emergency storm response services across the central, southeastern, and northeastern United States. The company plays an increasingly critical role as utilities work to strengthen grid reliability, replace aging assets, and respond to heightened electricity demand.
Lime Rock New Energy’s investment comes at a time of substantial projected investment in transmission and distribution systems. With utilities allocating record levels of capital toward grid improvements, Hawk’s customer relationships, safety track record, and operational expertise position the company to capture expanding market opportunities.
Advisors/counsel: Hawk Line Construction received advisory support from Piper Sandler & Co. and Koley Jessen, while Lime Rock New Energy was advised by FMI Capital Advisors and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
