HaysMac, an award-winning accountancy, tax and advisory firm, announced the acquisition of Green Square, a specialist corporate finance advisory firm known for providing M&A advice to founders, management teams, and shareholders.
The acquisition strengthens HaysMac’s corporate finance capabilities and aligns with the firm’s long-term strategy of helping ambitious, growth-focused businesses navigate change, execute transactions, and create long-term value.
Green Square brings more than 20 years of transaction advisory experience across a variety of ownership structures, including founder-led and investor-backed businesses. While the firm is recognized for its expertise in the marketing, media, and technology sectors, it has also advised on a broad range of cross-border transactions and commercial environments.
As part of HaysMac, Green Square’s team will provide clients with access to integrated corporate finance services alongside tax, transaction services, audit, risk assurance, and private client expertise. The combined offering is designed to support businesses throughout the transaction lifecycle, from strategic planning and preparation to execution and post-deal outcomes.
HaysMac said the acquisition significantly enhances its in-house corporate finance expertise and strengthens the firm’s ability to advise clients through complex transactions and periods of transformation.
The announcement follows a strong year for HaysMac, including recognition as ‘DEI Champion of the Year’ at the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards and inclusion in The Sunday Times ‘Best Places to Work 2025 – Big Organisation’ list for the second consecutive year. Earlier this year, the firm also celebrated its 25th anniversary and completed the acquisition of Moore DM’s US Tax team to expand its international tax compliance capabilities.
