HCLSoftware, the software business division of HCLTech, announced it has signed an agreement to acquire Jaspersoft, an embedded analytics and “pixel-perfect” reporting platform that operates as a business unit of Cloud Software Group. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The companies said the acquisition is intended to bolster HCLSoftware’s Data & AI division, Actian, as it expands its product roadmap around data management and agentic business intelligence. HCLSoftware said Actian has seen rising demand for capabilities such as metadata management, data cataloging, and data governance, and that bringing Jaspersoft into the portfolio would add embedded analytics along with high-volume reporting and dashboarding features.
Jaspersoft’s platform is used to create pixel-perfect reports, interactive dashboards, and data visualizations, and the company is positioned as a reporting option for regulated sectors that require consistent formatting and output, including government, banking, and financial services.
HCLSoftware said integrating Jaspersoft into Actian will support what it described as an end-to-end data management experience, while extending its reach through a global developer community that builds and deploys data platforms inside enterprise applications. The company framed the transaction as a way for customers to own the analytics experience while embedding reporting directly into customer-facing software.
Cloud Software Group said it expects Jaspersoft to continue serving its existing customer base under HCLSoftware’s ownership and described HCLSoftware as a strategic buyer for the business.
The acquisition is expected to close within six months of signing, subject to customary conditions.
