HCLTech And Anthropic Form Global Premier Partnership To Scale Governed Agentic AI

HCLTech and Anthropic formed a Global Premier Partnership to accelerate enterprise adoption of agentic AI, with a focus on safety, cybersecurity, governance, and large-scale deployment of Claude technologies.

As part of the partnership, HCLTech will establish a dedicated Anthropic Business Unit and Center of Excellence focused on building enterprise-grade agentic AI solutions.

The new unit will provide secure sandbox environments for deploying Claude and help enterprises adopt AI-native engineering practices.

HCLTech also plans to help customers train their workforces and develop the organizational capabilities needed to operate agentic AI safely at scale.

HCLTech’s services teams will build industry-specific solutions powered by Claude, Cowork, and Claude Code.

The partnership will also extend to HCLSoftware, which is becoming an independent software vendor partner for Anthropic.

HCLSoftware plans to embed Claude and Claude Code into selected enterprise products spanning cybersecurity, automation, business process applications, and application development.

Products expected to benefit include HCL BigFix and HCL AppScan, while Anthropic technology will also support Actian AI analyst capabilities.

HCLTech will integrate Claude and Claude Code into AI Force, its agentic software engineering platform.

The integration will support workflows across IT support, code remediation, and digital employee services.

HCLTech said these workflows will include policy guardrails, exception handling, and human oversight for high-impact changes.

The partnership combines HCLTech’s global systems integration capabilities with Anthropic’s AI models and safety-focused approach.

HCLTech said the collaboration could help enterprises move beyond AI experimentation and into secure, scalable production deployments.

The initiative builds on HCLTech’s existing capabilities across engineering, data, cloud, software, and artificial intelligence.

HCLTech has more than 223,000 employees across 60 countries and serves customers across financial services, manufacturing, life sciences and healthcare, technology and services, semiconductors, telecom and media, retail and consumer packaged goods, mobility, and public services.

The company reported consolidated revenue of $14.8 billion for the 12 months ended June 2026.

KEY QUOTES:

“AI can only be as useful as it is trustworthy, and we build Claude to give companies the confidence to bring it into their most sensitive and valuable work. HCLTech manages those kinds of systems for banks, hospitals, telecom companies and manufacturers, and we’re excited to partner with them as they integrate Claude and Claude Code. This partnership — and our broader commitment to advancing capability and safety together — is how AI will change the way entire industries run for the better.”

Daniela Amodei, Co-Founder and President of Anthropic

“Few technology companies combine the scale of a global systems integrator with the product depth of an ISV. That gives us a rare advantage to securely engineer and deploy Agentic AI at scale and deliver the business outcomes that matter most to our clients. Our partnership with Anthropic further strengthens our capabilities to achieve the same.”
