Health Catalyst has appointed Simeon Kohl as CEO and President and a member of its Board of Directors, effective September 14, 2026.
Kohl succeeds Ben Albert, who will transition to Chief Business Officer and step down from Health Catalyst’s Board effective September 13.
Kohl most recently served as CEO of Performant Healthcare, where he led a strategic and operational transformation that culminated in the company’s approximately $670 million sale to Machinify.
He brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience spanning operations, growth and public-company leadership.
Albert will remain part of Health Catalyst’s senior leadership team and work with Kohl on the company’s strategic priorities.
During Albert’s tenure as CEO, Health Catalyst sharpened its focus on its highest-conviction technologies and positioned itself as an AI-focused healthcare intelligence company.
He also oversaw the divestiture of Vitalware, which allowed Health Catalyst to retire an approximately $160 million credit facility and strengthen its balance sheet.
Health Catalyst provides healthcare intelligence technology designed to improve cost, clinical and consumer performance across health systems.
The company says its platform is supported by nearly two decades of proprietary data associated with approximately $2.8 billion in documented outcomes.
