Health Management Associates (HMA), a national consulting firm focused on publicly funded healthcare and human services, announced it has acquired HealthTech Solutions, a provider of Medicaid-focused technology, analytics, and compliance solutions.
The deal strengthens HMA’s government health technology services by adding advanced data, analytics, and systems modernization capabilities to its existing policy, regulatory, and operational advisory offerings. HealthTech Solutions brings specialized expertise in Medicaid technology, enhancing HMA’s ability to support state agencies with integrated solutions spanning strategy through technical implementation.
HealthTech Solutions will continue to operate under its existing name as an HMA company. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Synergy Advisors served as exclusive financial advisor to HealthTech Solutions.
Based in Okemos, Michigan, HMA serves a broad range of clients including government agencies, health systems, health plans, and community-based organizations. The firm provides consulting across healthcare policy, financing, program design, and evaluation.
HealthTech Solutions, which employs more than 300 professionals, offers a modular cloud-based platform supporting state agencies with systems modernization, reporting, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
The acquisition reflects HMA’s continued expansion into technology-enabled services for Medicaid and other government health programs, positioning the combined organization to deliver more comprehensive solutions across advisory and implementation.
