Heartworks: Interview With Founder Tricia Sybersma About The Unique Art Company

By Amit Chowdhry ● Jun 16, 2025

HeartWorks is a company dedicated to energy and expression, where animal-created art becomes a conduit for positive intention and transformation. Every piece, whether hanging on your wall, wrapped around your feet, resting near your heart, or carried in your hands on a to-go cup, serves as a living reminder of connection, presence, and purpose.

These effects aren’t just felt, they’re measurable. Biofeedback studies have shown calming and coherence-enhancing results. Pulse 2.0 interviewed HeartWorks founder Tricia Sybersma to explore the inspiration, science, and soulful vision behind the company.

Tricia Sybersma’s Background

What is Tricia Sybersma’s background? Sybersma said:

“I only have heartfelt gratitude for my childhood, I grew up in an environment that continuously motivated me to be inventive and find creative means to maneuver through life. I held a unique viewpoint on perseverance, resourcefulness, and disparity because my family lived in subsidized housing in a wealthy tourist town. While others around me focused on what they didn’t have, I took a different approach, striving to embrace curiosity and interact with the world through animals and nature.”

“Animals have always been my refuge. I sense a bond with them, and they show me a degree of compassion and appreciation that, at times, people failed to offer. This relationship stirred curiosity about nature, energy, and healing, which led me to the world of energy work and culminated in my becoming a HeartMath® Certified Trainer, which provided astonishingly precise language for my little-known but deeply felt inner world; I had always known that the heart, emotions and energy dictate what the world we live in looks like. My journey took me through various creative fields, from interior decorating to energy healing, yet everything came together in HeartWorks, where art, animals, and transformation intertwine.”

Formation Of The Company

How did the idea for the company come together? Sybersma shared:

“HeartWorks wasn’t something I sat down and planned; it emerged organically from my lifelong connection to animals and my work in heart-centered transformation. One of the defining moments was with my mare, Giselle, who, even though she spent most of her life being misunderstood and mistreated, had an incredible presence—calm yet powerful. One day, while spending time with her, I noticed how her movements carried an intentional energy, as if she was communicating through motion. That was the first time I felt that animals weren’t just mirrors for our emotions but active participants in our healing.”

“Later, as I deepened my work with The HeartMath® System and quantum biofeedback, I learned that animals have their own energetic imprint, and that imprint can be measured and shared through their art. That’s how the Animal Artists (also known as ‘Heartists’) came to be—not just creating art but infusing it with intention. Each piece carries their presence, story, and ability to guide others through transformation.”

Favorite Memory

What has been your favorite memory working with the company so far? Sybersma shared:

“One such moment that stands out is when someone placed their hands on our Sacred Boundaries blanket, which was made by one of our Animal Artists, Gwen. She gasped, saying that she felt energy rushing through her, as if it was about to knock her over. She didn’t even know the story behind the piece yet.”

“That’s when it hit me—this is why we do this. It’s not only about the art or the products; it is about the deeper level experience people have when engaging with them. The most satisfying moments are when people realize that transformation is not something they have to earn. Instead, it is something they can walk into, feel, and embody through these creations.”

Core Products

What are the company’s core products and features? Sybersma explained:

“HeartWorks offers intention-infused art and wearable energy products that connect people with the wisdom and presence of animals. Our key offerings include:

— Wearable Energy – Socks, scarves, and apparel infused with intention so you can carry transformational energy with you.

— Elevate Your Space – Blankets, pillows, and tumblers are designed to bring Animal Artist-created energy into your home and work environment.

— Mini Meditations & Transformational Tools – Short, guided experiences designed to align energy, thoughts, and emotions.

Challenges Faced

What challenges have Sybersma and the team faced in building the company? Sybersma acknowledged:

“Perhaps the most difficult part has been helping people understand that our work is more than a fusion of art and wellness products. Some aspects of energy work are not always tangible, and understanding it is often not possible until it is experienced by interacting with the art and products firsthand.”

“Early on, someone skeptically looked at our socks and said, “It’s just socks.” To our surprise, they came back a couple of weeks later telling us, “Look, I don’t know what’s going on, but I feel way more focused and grounded whenever I wear these.” It just makes me realize that the kind of transformation most people desire can sometimes be achieved without belief but simply by being open to what is around them.”

Evolution Of The Company’s Technology

How has the company’s technology evolved since launching? Sybersma noted:

“We’ve incorporated Quantum Biofeedback and Bio-Well technology to measure and validate the energetic imprint of each painting. This allows us to offer and explain the interactive experience when customers connect with the energy behind their selected pieces in a more scientific and personal way.”

“One of my favorite discoveries was using biofeedback to analyze our animals’ unique energy signatures. Each horse, cat, or dog has a distinct vibrational frequency, which aligns with certain colors, elements, or emotional states. It’s been fascinating to watch how those findings translate into the artwork they create. We are excited to explore this further through developing new testing tools that will serve to capture the energy of a space/room and the broader energy of a person as they interact with HeartWorks products.”

Significant Milestones

What have been some of the company’s most significant milestones? Sybersma cited:

“To list a few:

— Launching our first collection of energy-infused art and wearable products.

— Expanding into international art exhibits in New York, where HeartWorks was showcased alongside other visionary artists.

—Launching a new book, “Walking with the Herd: A Heart-Centered Guide to See, Feel, and Live Your Life,” which bridges the transformational energy of HeartWorks art with the power of our personal journeys of change, healing, and becoming. It’s a guidebook and companion for those ready to walk with more presence, trust, and heart-led alignment, weaving together intuitive wisdom, animal-guided insight, and practices for real, lived transformation rooted in the language of energy and intention.

Customer Success Stories

When asking Sybersma about customer success stories, she highlighted:

“One of our customers told us that, during a stressful drive in Mexico, she was overwhelmed with anxiety. Her heart was racing, and it felt like she couldn’t catch her breath. Her sister instantly gifted her a digital piece of one of our Heartists, Hanna’s, artwork, knowing that she loved dogs and thinking it would help at that moment.”

“She said the second she focused on it, something shifted. It wasn’t just the colors or the design; it was the energy within the art. She could feel a gentle, calming presence like Hanna was right there with her. Hanna’s art became her anchor at that moment. She got to the airport, much calmer and feeling better overall.”

“These are the moments that remind us why HeartWorks exists—to bring people back to themselves, back to a sense of peace and alignment.”

Funding

When asking Sybersma about the company’s funding details, she revealed:

“This is the big question. We currently fund internally yet welcome donations and conversations with conscious investors. Our intention is to be self-funding and more. To be in a position to give back and help others with fundraising, etc.”

Total Addressable Market

What total addressable market (TAM) size is the company pursuing? Sybersma assessed:

“Our audience consists of energetically inclined, wellness-focused individuals drawn to energy healing, mindfulness, and personal transformation. I hesitate to put an age bracket because HeartWorks is beyond age. The wellness industry is growing in popularity and becoming more lucrative. That said, our focus has never been on the commercialization of wellness or making a profit; it has, and always will, lie in aiding people in their individual transformation journeys.”

Differentiation From The Competition

What differentiates the company from its competition? Sybersma affirmed:

“A few unique characteristics set us apart:

— Animal Artists – Our creations aren’t human-made; they are co-created with horses, a cat, and a dog.

— Wearable Transformation – Unlike traditional energy tools, our products allow people to carry their intentions with them.

— Science & Spirituality Blend – We integrate The HeartMath® System and coherence in all aspects of the company. We use Quantum Biofeedback and Bio-well technology to validate the energetic imprints of our art.

— Interactive Experience – Customers receive videos of their commissioned art being created, making each piece a deeply personal journey.”

Future Company Goals

What are some of the company’s future goals? Sybersma emphasized:

“Our list of ambitions continues to grow, but some standout accomplishments we’d like to achieve are:

— Expanding our product line to include digital interactive experiences, meditations, and courses.

— Growing our presence in conscious-minded art galleries and exhibits globally.

— Developing an online community where people can engage with the wisdom of our Animal Artists and share their transformational experiences.

— Creating a mobile app to help people set daily intentions with their HeartWorks pieces.”

Additional Thoughts

Any other topics you would like to discuss? Sybersma concluded:

“This journey continues. I look forward to exploring more of the science behind The HeartMath® System and energy transformation, and how HeartWorks is merging spirituality with measurable energetic impact. Additionally, we’re passionate about how animals are stepping forward as teachers, guiding us toward a more aligned, intentional way of living. Our work is about bridging the unseen with the tangible, making transformation accessible and experiential.”
