Helium Ventures Acquires That’s The One To Expand Wedding And Event Software Portfolio

Helium Ventures has acquired That’s The One, a software platform built for professional wedding and event planners. The deal expands Helium Ventures’ portfolio of software businesses serving the wedding and events industry following its acquisition of Maroo earlier this year. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 2020, That’s The One provides a connected workspace combining client collaboration, guest management, event websites, budgets, vendor coordination, timelines, floor plans, and day-of-event planning.

The platform has supported thousands of weddings and events across more than 40 countries and is designed to replace the mixture of documents, spreadsheets, communications channels, and specialized tools frequently used by professional planners.

Helium Ventures sees an opportunity to combine That’s The One with Maroo to support wedding and event professionals across both event planning and broader business operations.

That’s The One also incorporates AI features that can turn run-of-show files into timelines and organize Zoom transcripts and meeting summaries. Its accommodation tools provide access to live rates from more than 1.7 million properties while supporting reminders and guest-list synchronization.

Helium Ventures is an AI-native holding company focused on acquiring software businesses with established product-market fit in underserved industries.

The company was founded by CEO Rohit Mittal and CTO Priyank Singh, who previously co-founded Y Combinator-backed fintech company Stilt before its acquisition in 2022.
