HEN Technologies: $22 Million Raised To Build AI Driven Fire Defense Operating System

By Amit Chowdhry • Dec 17, 2025

HEN Technologies has secured $22 million in new financing, closing an oversubscribed $20 million Series A round alongside $2 million in venture debt, as it accelerates development of what it describes as the industry’s first operating system for fire defense. The Hayward, California-based company said the funding will speed the deployment of Fluid IQ, its predictive AI platform built on advanced fluid-dynamics hardware, and bring its total capital raised to more than $30 million.

O’Neil Strategic Capital led the Series A round with participation from NSFO, Tanas Capital, and z21 Ventures. Silicon Valley Bank provided the venture debt. HEN said the capital will fund the expansion of its IoT-enabled hardware infrastructure, which it views as foundational to capturing a comprehensive operational fire dataset that can enable predictive AI models for fire suppression and response planning.

HEN positioned its approach as hardware first, using connected nozzles, valves, and pump controls to capture real-world performance data such as flow, pressure, and pattern effectiveness directly from the field. The company said its systems can deliver three times faster extinguishment while reducing water usage by 67 percent, and it framed the resulting dataset as a critical missing link for building more predictive decision-support tools based on Physics-Informed Neural Networks and other AI techniques.

The company cited the increasing scale and cost of wildfires as a driver of demand, pointing to estimated annual impacts of $400 billion to $800 billion in the United States from health effects, infrastructure damage and ecosystem loss, and noting that the Palisades fire in Los Angeles alone caused more than $50 billion in damages. HEN also highlighted changes in the built environment, noting that modern structures can burn significantly faster than older ones, raising the stakes for rapid, data-informed suppression strategies.

HEN said it will use the new funding to scale partner enablement, customer experience, and technical operations, including investments in its distributor platform and field presence, so agencies can evaluate the technology in real-world settings. The company said it plans to expand sales, operations, and technical teams to support global deployments.

HEN said its footprint includes more than 100 distributors operating in 20 countries, and it is scaling a team of more than 100 product demonstration specialists to provide hands-on evaluations for customers. The company said its technology has been adopted by more than 1,000 organizations worldwide, including CAL FIRE, the U.S. military, and international fire agencies.

KEY QUOTES:

“We’re proud to lead this round and back HEN’s vision to create an entirely new category: the intelligent operating system for fire defense. Their hardware-first approach has already proven transformative in the field with more than 1,000 organizations globally. By building the data infrastructure that enables predictive AI, HEN is positioned to become the essential platform for how the world fights fires. This is how category-defining companies are built.”

Alex Garden, Managing Partner Of O’Neil Strategic Capital

“Wildfires are more frequent, and modern structures burn eight times faster than legacy structures. Incremental changes cannot keep up. That’s why we are building transformational technology using Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) and AI-powered decision support. We are moving beyond optimizing tools to optimizing strategy. This is essential infrastructure for climate resilience and national security.”

Dr. Sunny Sethi, CEO Of HEN Technologies

“We are capitalizing on our momentum by scaling three critical areas: partner enablement, customer experience and technical operations. We are investing heavily in our distributor platform to empower our partners and increase our field presence to ensure agencies can experience our products in action. To sustain this growth, we are scaling our sales, operations and technical teams to maintain the highest level of execution as we deploy worldwide.”

Akshay Thakor, COO Of HEN Technologies

“Their proprietary fluid dynamics and AI platform don’t just improve efficiency; they deliver a paradigm shift in firefighting capabilities. This investment reflects our strong conviction in their technology, their exceptional team and the profound impact they will have on public safety globally.”
