Herd Security, an agentic AI platform focused on continuous security training and simulation, announced a $3 million funding round with strategic investment from Aspiron Ventures. Additional participants in the round included Team Ignite, ForwardSlash VC, Forum Ventures, Rightside Capital, and YPO.
The company said the funding will support expanded product development across HR and AI training categories, enhance AI-powered video generation capabilities, and grow its partnership ecosystem.
Herd Security develops AI-powered tools that help security and governance, risk, and compliance teams create continuous cybersecurity training programs tailored to evolving threats. The platform is designed to replace traditional static compliance training with dynamic, real-time educational content delivered through channels employees already use, including Slack, Teams, and learning management systems.
The company said organizations can use the platform to import security policies, compliance frameworks, and security data that Herd automatically parses and updates. Users can also generate customized micro-trainings, simulations, and assessments aligned with organization-specific threats and workflows.
According to the company, AI-driven social engineering attacks are accelerating rapidly, creating pressure for enterprises to modernize employee security awareness programs.
Herd Security was founded in 2025 by Brandon Min and was created to help organizations move beyond annual compliance-focused security awareness programs toward continuous, adaptive training systems that evolve alongside emerging cyber threats.
The company said its platform enables organizations to rapidly create and deploy iterative security lessons in response to new attack patterns without requiring additional operational resources or reliance on external vendors.
KEY QUOTES:
“Security training has never been limited by expertise, but by execution. Threats evolve daily and organizations aren’t equipping security professionals with the tools to turn what they know into relevant programs that engage employees when it matters most. Herd removes this barrier so teams can continuously put their knowledge into action without added resources, creating everyday awareness that strengthens human defense to match the speed and scale of emerging risks.”
Brandon Min, CEO & Co-Founder, Herd Security
“Organizations face a new reality where threats are outpacing workforce preparedness. Security training has not evolved for this shift, but Herd is addressing that problem by reinventing how it is operationalized without the usual friction. The company’s recognition as a finalist in last year’s Okta Startup Challenge was an early signal of momentum, and our investment is all about accelerating that progress.”
Oliver Legg, Partner, Aspiron Ventures
“Herd has truly transformed our approach to security training. We’ve replaced long, static lectures with short, timely microtrainings that fit directly into employee workflows. This has made it easier to reinforce positive security behaviors and cultivate a more proactive culture with training that feels relevant and engaging.”
