Heron Intelligence has completed its merger with Paragon Intel, combining two management diligence and investment research platforms into a business serving more than 250 investment firms. The combined company will operate under the Heron Intelligence name.
Heron’s research database includes more than 80,000 proprietary interviews covering more than 5,000 public and private companies.
The firm has more than two decades of management and business diligence experience and combines proprietary interviews, public records research and structured analytics.
Paragon brings ManagementTrack, a management-focused investment research platform developed by former buy-side investors.
ManagementTrack draws from 16 datasets, including its proprietary Earnings Call Evasion Analysis, to help hedge funds and asset managers evaluate executives and leadership teams.
The combined offering will integrate ManagementTrack, Blue Heron Research and the Heron Analytics Platform.
Its tools are designed to help investors compare management teams, determine whether executives fit a company’s strategic requirements and identify leadership or operating signals before they appear in reported financial results.
The platform can also incorporate management intelligence into fundamental, quantitative and systematic investment processes.
Nate Singer will serve as CEO and Chairman of Heron Intelligence.
Paragon co-founder Ty Popplewell will become President of ManagementTrack, David Rynecki remains founder and President of Blue Heron Research, Anuj Jaithliya serves as CFO and Paragon co-founder Colby Howard will lead a new Heron division.
