Herzig Engineering has acquired Brady Infrared, expanding the Copley Equity Partners-backed electrical safety and reliability company’s infrared inspection capabilities and presence in the Southeastern United States. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Florida-based Brady Infrared has more than 25 years of experience providing infrared inspection and related services to customers across the United States.

The company serves industries including utilities, healthcare, government, data centers and commercial and industrial facilities.

The acquisition expands an area where Herzig said it has been experiencing increasing customer demand.

Adding Brady’s Florida-based professionals also gives Herzig additional capacity to serve customers throughout the Southeast while expanding the combined organization’s technical expertise.

Brady specializes in electrical system inspections, building façade inspections and roof moisture surveys.

The company’s additional services include 25-year, 30-year and 40-year building recertification inspections.

Brady’s operations comply with NFPA 70B and NFPA 70E standards.

Herzig provides electrical safety and reliability services intended to help industrial and commercial organizations improve workplace safety, reduce downtime and increase the performance of electrical assets.

Its capabilities include consulting, engineering services, training and field support.

Herzig is backed by Copley Equity Partners, a private investment firm focused on lower-middle-market companies.

The Brady Infrared transaction follows other expansion initiatives by Herzig, including acquisitions that have broadened the company’s electrical safety, training and compliance capabilities.
