hexafarms raised €4.8 million in financing to advance its AI-powered operating system for commercial horticulture. Ananda Impact Ventures and Green Generation Fund led the round. Grey Silo Ventures and better ventures participated alongside existing backers Speedinvest, Mudcake, and Techstars.
Alongside the equity financing, hexafarms received Rentenbank’s Startup Grant and a subordinated loan of up to €800,000.
The company plans to use the financing to advance wireless crop sensing and automated pest and disease scouting and accelerate growth across DACH, Benelux, and Spain.
hexafarms combines proprietary hardware with software designed to give commercial growers continuous visibility into crop conditions and future production.
Its platform includes wireless sensors, yield forecasting, and autonomous pest and disease detection.
The sensors collect information about climate, fertigation, substrate, drainage, and light every five minutes.
Yield forecasting uses more than 70 parameters to generate rolling forecasts by crop and production zone.
Autonomous robots can scan every plant daily across approximately two to three hectares while detecting early indications of pests and disease.
The technology is used by more than 50 growers across 13 countries.
Customers have managed more than €300 million of produce through the company’s platform and hardware during 2026.
