Hexagon AB has agreed to acquire IconPro, a German industrial AI solutions provider focused on intelligent asset maintenance, as Hexagon looks to expand AI-driven monitoring and analytics across its manufacturing install base.

The acquisition brings Apollo, IconPro’s intelligent maintenance software, into Hexagon’s portfolio. Apollo is designed to monitor machine operations, conditions, and events remotely, and Hexagon said integrating these capabilities into its metrology offering will enable intelligent coordinate-measuring machine maintenance that reduces downtime and improves productivity, quality, and the speed of production.

Hexagon plans to roll the technology out across its global installed base, beginning with the Stationary Metrology Division within its Manufacturing Intelligence business area. By pairing condition monitoring and AI-driven insights with metrology hardware and software workflows, Hexagon is aiming to make maintenance more proactive and data-driven for manufacturers that rely on high-availability measurement systems.

Hexagon said the acquisition is expected to close in December 2025, with full consolidation anticipated shortly thereafter. The company added that in 2026, IconPro is expected to generate approximately €2 million in revenue, with profitability initially below that of Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence business area.
