HeyMilo AI announced that it has raised a total of $6 million in funding led by Category Ventures, with participation from Canaan Partners, Alumni Ventures, and ERA. The company plans to use the capital to expand its agentic recruiting platform and introduce new AI-powered recruiting capabilities for high-volume hiring.

Founded in 2023, HeyMilo provides an AI-driven platform that enables employers, staffing agencies, and recruitment process outsourcing firms to automate candidate screening across voice, video, phone, SMS, and resume analysis. The company said it has screened more than one million candidates and serves customers including Randstad, WilsonHCG, and Neo Financial.

According to HeyMilo, hiring organizations are increasingly challenged by candidates using AI tools to apply and prepare for jobs at scale, while many recruiting processes remain dependent on resumes and phone interviews. The company’s platform delivers structured screening and rubric-based evaluations directly within applicants’ workflows and integrates with existing applicant tracking systems.

Alongside the financing, HeyMilo introduced three new AI agent capabilities. AI Scenario Assessment evaluates how candidates plan, prompt, and assess AI-generated outputs through live scenarios. Candidate Recommendations helps recruiters identify and rank previously screened applicants from applicant tracking systems. The company also launched Notetaker, which captures structured notes from recruiter-led interviews to provide more consistent evaluation data.

KEY QUOTES:

“High-volume hiring only works if you can vet everyone fairly and send recruiters to the people who deserve their time. We are changing how companies hire by changing what happens from the second a candidate applies. With some of the largest staffing agencies and enterprises screening candidates across conversational SMS, resume screening, video and voice interviews, and candidate fraud detection, the production signal is clear: recruiting teams are ready for a recruiting intelligence layer that delivers ROI at scale.”

Sabashan Ragavan, Co-Founder and CEO of HeyMilo

“AI is fundamentally changing the way companies need to vet applicants for roles and HeyMilo has quickly emerged as a leader in that transformation.”
