HHP Law Firm: Indonesia IP Partner Nidya Kalangie Joins To Bolster Tech Practice

HHP Law Firm, the Indonesia member firm of the global law firm network Baker McKenzie, announced that intellectual property and technology lawyer Nidya Kalangie has joined the firm as a partner in its commercial practice. Kalangie joined the firm on January 12, 2026, strengthening HHP’s intellectual property and technology capabilities in Indonesia.

Kalangie brings around 25 years of experience advising clients on intellectual property matters, including brand protection, litigation, and commercial advisory work. Her practice has focused on registration, licensing, franchising, and brand strategy, supporting both domestic and multinational companies across sectors such as healthcare, consumer goods and retail, and financial services.

Prior to joining HHP, Kalangie was a co-founding partner at SKC Law Firm, one of Indonesia’s leading intellectual property firms. Earlier in her career, she worked at Suryomurcito & Co (in affiliation with Rouse), Dewi Soeharto Maramis & Partner, and Soebagjo, Roosdiono, Jatim & Djarot.

Kalangie holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Indonesia and was admitted to practice by PERADI in 2002. She has also been a registered intellectual property consultant with Indonesia’s Ministry of Law since 2006 and a registered mediator with the National Mediation Center since 2012. She is a member of the International Trademark Association, the Asian Patent Attorneys Association, and the ASEAN Intellectual Property Association. In addition, she serves as deputy secretary general and treasurer of the Asosiasi Konsultan Hak Kekayaan Intelektual.

Kalangie has been recognized by legal directories including Chambers & Partners Asia-Pacific, Legal 500, and Managing Intellectual Property.
