HiBob has secured a $166 million investment led by Salesforce with additional participation from Farallon, providing new capital as the HR technology company expands from a people-management platform into what it describes as an organizational intelligence layer for AI-powered businesses.
The investment is centered on HiBob’s view that workforce data and organizational context will become increasingly important as companies deploy AI agents throughout their operations.
HiBob’s Bob platform brings together information about employees, teams, reporting structures, skills, goals, compensation, performance, managers and workforce planning.
The company intends to make that organizational context available beyond traditional HR applications and across AI agents, workflows, collaboration software, CRM, finance and operating systems.
HiBob is also expanding its integration with Slack, aiming to make workforce information accessible where employees and managers collaborate and make decisions.
The company serves more than 5,500 customers globally, according to Salesforce executive Joe Teplow, while HiBob says thousands of mid-sized and enterprise organizations across more than 170 countries use its platform.
HiBob sees the emerging workplace as a hybrid environment in which AI agents provide scale and execution while people continue to provide judgment, creativity, empathy and accountability.
KEY QUOTES:
“We founded HiBob with a simple conviction: The world of work has transformed, and will continue to transform at a rapid pace. Salesforce’s investment validates our belief that AI is not only changing technology, it is changing the architecture of organizations. As people and AI agents increasingly work side by side, trusted workforce context will become fundamental to how companies redesign work, empower managers, and make better decisions.”
Ronni Zehavi, CEO and Co-Founder of HiBob
“The biggest mistake companies can make is to think AI is primarily a technology story. It is an organizational and managerial revolution. The winners will not simply have the best AI model. They will build the best organizations for the AI era.”
Ronni Zehavi, CEO and Co-Founder of HiBob
“HiBob has built an impressive global people platform serving more than 5,500 customers, with a deep understanding of how organizations operate. This trusted foundation of workforce context makes AI more useful, relevant, and connected to how businesses actually operate.”
Joe Teplow, Chief Strategy Officer at Slack and SVP at Salesforce Labs at Salesforce
“AI is most effective when it understands the people, roles, and structures that shape an organization. Trusted workforce context provides that foundation, making AI more relevant to the teams using it.
